Capacity Building

AMAN’s capacity building work focuses on strengthening health systems by equipping frontline healthcare providers and communities with the skills, knowledge, and support required to deliver high quality, evidence-based care. Through sustained engagement across Pakistan, AMAN bridges the gap between policy, practice, and community need, ensuring that training translates into improved health outcomes.

AMAN conducts comprehensive capacity building initiatives across Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, reaching urban and underserved settings alike. These efforts focus on essential and emergency obstetric and neonatal care, including labor care using next generation partograms, post-abortion care, postpartum hemorrhage management through bundle approaches, instrumental delivery and caesarean section practices, infection prevention, and newborn survival interventions such as Helping Babies Breathe and Kangaroo Mother Care.

In parallel, AMAN prioritizes reproductive health and rights through training on family planning, postpartum and post-abortion family planning, male engagement, and values clarification and attitude transformation. This integrated approach strengthens both clinical competence and rights-based care, ensuring providers are equipped to deliver respectful, patient centered services.

Capacity building is reinforced through continuous mentoring and supportive supervision, enabling sustained skill retention, quality improvement, and accountability beyond one time trainings. By combining technical training with ongoing support, AMAN ensures that investments in human resources lead to durable system level impact.

Through these efforts, AMAN is empowering healthcare providers and communities nationwide, building resilient health systems today while ensuring sustainable capacity for tomorrow.
